The World Economic Forum has recently published the Global Gender Gap Report for 2014.
Considering that I work with women and companies on ensuring that women can have a meaningful career as well as a family, this is a topic I am quite interested in and passionate about sharing with you. Aside from economic participation the report also covers health, education and political empowerment.
The countries that have gotten the closest to closing the gender gap are the Nordic countries including Iceland, Norway, Finland and Sweden. Looking at our region, the Philippines comes in as the highest ranking Asian country.
But rather than me writing about it, have a look at this video by the WEF summarizing the findings: http://youtu.be/APO75_9svCA
